MONTIRIUS est un domaine familial depuis 6 générations. En 1996, Christine et Éric SAUREL, convertissent entièrement leur vignoble de 63 hectares, en Bio-Dynamie, certifié par Biodyvin. Montirius devient alors le 1er Vignoble certifié en Bio-Dynamie sur les Appellations Gigondas et Vacqueyras. La Bio-Dynamie permet une culture respectueuse de la plante, de son sous-sol et de sa partie végétative. Il s’agit du principe de l’homéopathie, adapté à la vigne. Avant tout, pour faire un bon vin, il faut un raisin sain et qualitatif cueilli à sa juste maturité. Nous avons fait le choix, il y a 16 ans d’une vinification en cuve béton, 100% non boisée afin de préserver l’authenticité, le goût des Terroirs, des raisins dans les vins. First of all, to make a good wine you need healthy grapes, handpicked at the right maturity. We made the choice 16 years ago of 100% non oak vinification by using concrete vat, like this we preserve the authenticity, theTerroirs taste, the grapes into the wine.
